OneSeven

I celebrated my best birthday ever last friday and saturday

So I'm walking through the canteen after lit class when Andrea turns to me and goes, 'Hey Nat, do you see anything... different?'

When I stare at her blankly (yes I'm an unobservant freak), she gestures vaguely. 'Anything different... on the walls... maybe scattered around... NEXT TO THAT GIANT BAYLEY-WADDLE POSTER...'

ONLY FOR ME TO FIND:

Apparently I was supposed to run around the school hysterically ripping the posters off the walls and piece tgt different letters stuck behind to find out where I was supposed to go after school. Unfortunately (or not!!) the councillors had beaten me to ripping them down. Hehehe. I love you 10A01E

Anw after KI we headed to Rajaratnam block where they sang me happy birthday to a guitar Jon Shin pulled out

Was also treated to other things, such as a rly rly cute guitar improv about roots/calculators...

...AND THE SMASHING OF A CAKE INTO MY FACE.

Hehehehe after lots of swearing/ smashing/ hysterical screaming/ running around like maniacs, LepakCru minus Weijie headed over to Swensen's where I lost five card games in a row and received a birthday sundae :)

Someone should tell Dinesh that this rly isn't seductive at all and that NOBODY feels the heat!!

Deb and I caught He's Just Not That Into You (shit boring- really, don't bother) at Lido then we met Judith and Ashes and chatted for a bit :) we'd just said bye to them when she turned to me and was all, 'Nat, I'm really really sorry, but er, do you mind if I blindfold you for a bit???'

UM, YES, MAYBE?!?!??!?!

She forgot to mention that I would be banged about by people in Orchard and shoved unceremoniously into a cab. It felt okay being blind in a cab, but once we alighted and I heard the crunch of leaves and twigs beneath my feet I got a bit scared. Not to mention certain friends who popped up from nowhere and kept slamming themselves into me :( :( :(

(yes Pads I'm talking about you)

But I guess the trauma was worth it, because the blindfold was ripped off to this

and this

and a bunch of freaks standing around me screaming the birthday song

I. Love. My. Friends. They. Are. Awesome.

The tiresome narrative stops here; photoblog!! (some pix from Joanna TMK DPK TMD KNN CCB)

Chips galore, apple juice, special pocky, mini mini coke, a full tray of kinder surprise eggs, fried rice x3, a carton of kono pizza, chocolate cake by Mag, etc etc etc

Coke on a candle

But if I thought the previous night was scary, it was nothing compared to waking up the next day to Ivy's face.

Giant earthquake + sushi + mat mother-daughter pair + yuz =

Dayna, Debra, Mag, Miv, Jo, Rach, Andie, Graciebaby, Ahmad, Ives, Yuz: love x infinity to the ends of the earth and beyond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that I'm one year older, and obviously wiser, I've come to realise that while you may be a bunch of humping/thumping sluts, you really are the best chicken pals anyone could ask for. Thank you a million times over and more for making my birthday the best I could possibly have.

17-year-old signing out

Ps on a much sadder note: RIP Mr Walter Khoo, my P4 ft and one of the most unique, unusual, talented and caring teachers ever to walk the halls of CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls'.
